Emery tops Joplin-area legislators in November lobbyists' gifts

Rep. Ed Emery, R-Lamar topped Joplin-area representatives in lobbyists' gifts in November, according to documents posted on the Missouri Ethics Commission website today.

Emery's total was $31.61 topping the other two legislators who accepted gifts, Marilyn Ruestman, R-Joplin, at $21,75; and Kevin Wilson, R-Neosho, at $20. Three legislators, Speaker of the House Ron Richard, R-Joplin, Rep. Tom Flanigan, R-Carthage, and Rep. Bryan Stevenson, R-Webb City, did not have any gifts listed.

For the first 11 months of 2009, Richard tops the list at $2,466.53, followed by Stevenson, $1,978.80; Mrs. Ruestman, $693.71; Flanigan $563.07, Wilson $534.77, and Emery $453.77.
