Milton Ohlsen reports to prison

The St. Louis Riverfront Times reports that Milton Ohsen, the man who carried out the election antics that eventually led to the felony convictions of Sen. Jeff Smith, D-St. Louis, and Rep. Steve Brown, D-St. Louis, reported to prison today:

The man behind state senator Jeff Smith's downfall and suspected of playing a role in a 2008 bombing in Clayton, Milton "Skip" Ohlsen was transported to federal prison in Mississippi this week.

Ohlsen has been in federal custody in St. Louis County since December 2008 when he was arrested for multiple weapon charges. (As a convicted felon for drug-trafficking, Ohlsen is not allowed to own firearms.) The past October, Ohlsen was sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to weapon charges and mortgage fraud.
