Showing us a weather map we can't see

I don't know if the KSN folks know the extent of their technical difficulties, but it is amusing to listen to fill-in weather man Jeremiah Cook showing us the weather map while the viewers are looking at a blank light blue screen.

The picture finally came back on as Cook was preparing to give the forecast, but this does show the reliance our television newscasters have on technology. Perhaps they should listen to radio to see how it is done if these circumstances should ever occur again.

five different stories to say a local tv station had technical problems?

who cares anyway?

any station that has the image of their weather man/woman larger than the map has serious problems when it comes to delivering the news...or should I say they aren't serious about news

just another comment on their weather coverage. have you ever noticed that their severe weather map is almost impossible to identify or locate state borders? if you are a traveler in a local motel or someone unfamiliar with what our local county/state lines looks like, and watching channel 16, you have no idea where you are in comparison to the map and might be in immediate danger. i have lived here many years and have difficulty using the map. several months ago, i emailed gary bandy. he didn't have a concern with my concerns. he would look at my concerns and get back to me. still waiting!

Can't everyone see, that things are pretty serious at the station. Between infomercials throughout the day and disasterous attempts to provide local programming, they are hanging on by their fingernails. Can't wait to see how they butcher the Olympics. Maybe with crawls throughout programming promoting some Injury Lawyer or better yet, oil change business. I just hope in their ruining of the Olympics it doesn't cover the details like their weather info does the NFL scores.
