An 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, status hearing has been scheduled for one of the two men accused of the brutal November 2007 rape and murder of nine-year-old Rowan Ford of Stella.

Phelps County Circuit Court online records indicate all motions connected with the case of Chris Collings, Wheaton, will be taken up on that date.

Collings and David Wesley Spears, Stella, Rowan Ford's stepfather, are charged with the crimes. Spears' trial will be held in Pulaski County. Both cases were moved from Barry County on changes of venue.

Collings' trial is set to begin Monday, March 8.
