Ohio officials announced today they have filed criminal charges against former Joplin Globe Editor Edgar Simpson.
An arrest warrant was issued charging Simpson, 46, with a misdemeanor, filing a false disclosure statement:
Simpson is charged with failing to report on required state financial disclosure forms $350 he received from Dann's campaign committee and about $800 he received from the committee Dann formed during his transition into office.
Simpson is expected to plead guilty Thursday and has agreed to testify against others involved in the scandals in Marc Dann's office, according to a story in today's Columbus Dispatch.
