House passes Health Care Freedom Act

The Missouri House approved the Health Care Freedom Act today, continuing a session that finds the lawmaker apparently more concerned about federal legislation than about handling the problems that are facing the state:

If you don't think a bill such as this is "handling problems" for Missouri, you are dumber than I thought. No man is an island and neither is any U. S. state.

The monstrosity that is winding its way through Congress would create grave "problems" for Missouri, and for the rest of the country. Bravo to the General Assembly for opposing this unconstitutional federal power-grab. Anyone who values individual liberty should be heartened by their actions.

What a bunch of miscreants.

This waste of time is either idiocy on the part of the neanderthal contingent in the legislature, or pandering on the part of those who want to curry a little Tea Party good will; there is certainly also ample interpretatin and legal precedent that indicates it is unconstitutional - awhich means it will do little cocrete harm. If it should prevail, it will cost Missouri tons of thousands of dollars in lost Medicare funding - and do nothing to deal with our nearly 15% unisnsured rate.

What an ignorant comment, Turner, on his attention to what is happening at the federal level. Are you saying that states should totally ignore what the feds do? Where do you get off deciding what our state legislature should/should not address? If you want to decide that, then run for the legislature. I'm sure they need input from a junior high teacher.

It means nothing. Just like the current legislature. Dumb a++++.

The Repug's are batting zero this month, they just keep losing ground. The only thing they run is their mouths.

And now Nixon's going to have to do their budget because they don't have the b+++s for that either.

Meows.
