Nodler lowering expectations for first quarter?

Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, appears to be lowering expectations for his first quarter fundraising total,.

The following item was placed on Nodler's Facebook page Monday morning:

No session today. I will be heading for a fundraiser in K.C. this evening. We did not hold any fundraising events the first quarter because of the heavy Lincoln Day schedule and the demands of being in session. We will hold several this second quarter of the year.

Do you have a compilation of Nodler's senate run polling numbers?

I'm being lazy I know, but would love to see how he performs in Joplin.

The perspectives are broad depending on where you live.

Let us not forget that Senator Nodler gave us Dwight Douglas, who gave us Bruce Speck. And the Senator has done nothing to help clean up the mess he is partially responsible for at MSSU.

Let us not forget that the Board of Regents, appointed by the governor are responsible for MSSU.

Nodler makes recommendations for the Board of Governors to the Governor. He recommended Douglas once, and then recommended his re-appointment six years later. Douglas has led MSSU down this merry path of rack and ruin, so Nodler shares in the blame.

Tradition in the Missouri Senate is that no governor dares to recommend a regent or governor that the local senator is going to oppose (senate consent is paramount here)So Nodler is not just partially responsible for the mess Douglas has caused. Nodler was part of the conspiracy because one of his options was to become president of MSSU and his pal Douglas was an important cog in the machine.

6:45 & 10:15-And you have documentation to back up your position?

The Board of Regents has more than one member and their collective guidance runs the university. This system seems to be better for the public good than turning the guidance over to the faculty.
