Goodman: Missouri is better

Sen. Jack Goodman, R-Mount Vernon, vowed to take his successes from the Missouri General Assembly, fighting for guns, small businesses, and pro-life values, to Congress.

During his three-minute speech at the Lincoln Ladies Ice Cream Social at Memorial Hall in Carthage Monday night, Goodman said that Missouri is better today than it was when he entered the legislature, noting the budgetary surplus, jobs that have been created, the enactment of pro-life legislation, and legislation such as the Castle Doctrine law, which have expanded gunowners' rights in the state:
