Jasper County Republican chairman: Roy Blunt ducking debates

For the past several weeks, Sen. Chuck Purgason, primary opponent of Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt for U. S. Senate, has claimed Blunt is ducking debates.

He is not the only one saying so.

Comments from Tea Party activists , including Jasper County Republican Chairman John Putnam accuse Blunt of avoiding debates:

“We invited Congressman Blunt to several of our meetings over the last year and were told by his scheduler that he would not attend a candidate forum until after the Primary.”

And this from the Springfield 912ers:

“We invited Roy Blunt to attend a Missouri U.S. Senatorial Candidate Townhall, along with all other 17 candidates in the race. Mr. Blunt did not respond.”

Did Roy Blunt disobey an order from John Putnam?

Surely King Roy didn't disk you guys. Roy? What's wrong with you culling these fine Republicans like that.

Now --- you go get that pickup truck and that plaid shirt and get over there and do what you do best to this guy.
