Kinder attorneys ask for extra week to respond to Koster's challenge

In a motion filed today in U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, attorneys representing Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder's lawsuit against the federal health care program, asked for a delay in responding to Attorney General's Chris Koster's challenge to Kinder acting in his official capacity in the case.

The response was due today, but attorneys for the Arent Fox law firm, which is representing Kinder in the action, asked a delay until Friday, July 23.

The motion indicated that Koster did not oppose the request.
