Kinder pulls down $300,000+ in oversized contributions in second quarter

The big money has been arriving at a steady pace for lieutenant governor Peter Kinder as he prepares for a shot at Gov. Jay Nixon in 2012.

Missouri Ethics Commission documents show Kinder has received $336,000 in oversized contributions since the beginning of April, compared to $128,000 for Nixon. Of course, disclosure reports on all of the contributions the candidates have received are required to be submitted by July 15.

Out of Kinder's total, $287,500 has been contributed since the first of May including:

Jerry Cook $25,000
William F. Holekamp $30,000
Jerry Hall, Jack Henry & Associates, $50,000
Rex Sinquefield $25,000
EthelMae Humphreys, TAMKO $45,000
David Humphreys, TAMKO $40,000
Sarah Jane Atkins, TAMKO $40,000
Rudy Farber, Neosho, $12,500
Robert Topping, $10,000

Before that, Kinder received $7,500 from Jack Taylor, St. Louis; $10,000 from THIRTY AND 141 LLP, $25,000 from Drury Development Corporation, and $6,000 from Mike McDonnell.

Nixon received $88,000 in May, including:

Cerner Corporation $25,000
Dale Turvey, $8,000
RightCHOICE Managed Care, $10,000
HealthPAC, $10,000
Carey and Danis, $10,000
Simmons Attorneys at Law, $25,000

Prior to May, Nixon picked up $10,000 apiece from Ozark Resort Management, Branson; Burns & McDonnell; Noranda Aluminum, and United HealthCare.
