Second quarter disclosure reports filed with the Federal Election Commission indicate there is no building groundswell of support for Seventh District Congressional candidates Jeff Wisdom and Darrell Moore.
Wisdom raised $6,753.30, according to the report, with all but $506.20 coming from his own pocket. He had $118.72 in the bank as of June 30.
Moore raised $5,377, of which he provided $1,400.
Candidates Mike Moon, Mike Wardell, and Steve Hunter have not raised enough money to need to file with the FEC.

Darrell Moore will get a lot of support in Greene and surrounding counties from those who know him as a dedicated public service. His positions on the troubling issues facing us are are well-reasoned.
I've had the opportunity to listen to him in Ozark and plan to attend the event at the Fair Grounds next week.
Too bad he has not raised more money but many of the people who support him are struggling in this economy. I recommend people visit his website.
Don't know anything about Wisdom. He came out of nowhere and is apparently going nowhere.

Missourians United for Life endorses additional candidates for U.S. House 7th District
Missourians United For Life, an anti-abortion group, has endorsed additional candidates in the race for U.S. House 7th District, the seat being vacated by Rep. Roy Blunt.
Eight Republicans and two Democrats are seeking their party’s nomination in the Aug. 3 primary.
Earlier it announced endorsements for candidates Jack Goodman and Gary Nodler. This week the group endorsed candidates Michael Wardell and Mike Moon, according to the group’s website.
Sorry Wisdom, looks like you are going nowhere in the pro-life community.
Send out another press release and get these folks straightened out.

So really, are you kidding, or are you really this stupid? World affairs - how many trips have Moore, Nodler, and Goodman made the Middle East in public service to the country? Have they ever worn the uniform of this country in battle? Mr. Wisdom has earned several military medals for his service in Iraq and the Persian Gulf. He was awarded a military commendation medal for his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom just two years ago. Mr. Wardell has extensive military service overseas as well. Before you make an idiot out of yourself again, maybe you should use your brain a little. Check out the backgrounds of these individuals before you show us all how ignorant you are. If you watch the debate Monday night on tv, both Mr. Wisdom and Mr. Wardell will stand out.
Did it ever occur to anyone that Jeff Wisdom has never been a candidate focused on the money? He has said from the beginning that he wants to earn votes, not buy them. I admire the fact that he's willing to invest his own money to run. That demonstrates to me a candidate's level of commitment to be a public servant that isn't beholden to rich people or special interest. Money is exactly what has corrupted our political system. Wisdom doesn't actively solicit money from people. Those that donate do so because they believe in him and what he stands for. I'd rather have a candidate like him any day rather than someone who is all about money like Billy Long!! Think about it.
Wisdom happens to be in the Navy Reserve and his unit was called up to do the necessary support work in a war zone.
Let's not overstate the combat aspect of that, but, thanks to him anyway for his service. The men and women on the front line are the real heros. Many times, the guard units are there to support these heros.
Am I correct that Nodler, Wardell and Wisdom are the only candidates with military service in the congressional race?
But this race is about much more than any one person's military record. Life's experiences make the persoon and one candidate seems to have much more life expereience to be able to go to Congress and be effective on day one.

As someone who served with Mr. Wisdom in Iraq, let me add my perspective. Specifically, Jeff was mobilized to do detainee operations in Iraq. He was face-to-face with the enemy every day. He spent a significant amount of time working with "red" detainees, which are those that had killed or attempted to kill Americans and/or Iraqi civilians. Most of them were Sunni Takfiri detainees that believe in beheading enemies. Keep in mind this mission was completed in the sweltering 140 degree heat of Iraq. I'd like to see his opponents do that for a year. Problem is, Gary Nodler would probably go AWOL, just like he did in Jeff City during the special legislative session. What a coward!! He was afraid to cast a vote that might make him even more unpopular!!
