Pro-life groups endorse Shelly Dreyer

Both candidates for state representative in the 129th District have received the thumbs up from Missouri's major pro-life groups. The following news release was issued by the Shelly Dreyer campaign:

Republican Shelly Dreyer, candidate for the 129th State Representative, has been endorsed July 6th by Missourians United for Life, for her commitment and dedication to protecting life at all stages. This is the 2nd Pro-life endorsement that Dreyer has received during this election.

“Missourians United for Life (MUL) is a statewide, nonpartisan organization founded in 2008 to support and endorse pro-life candidates for office.” Bob Onder of Missourians United for Life.

Mark and Shelly Dreyer adopted their daughter 2 years ago from a teenage mother who had seriously considered abortion as the only alternative to her pregnancy. After being educated on adoption, she chose life, and ultimately blessed the Dreyer’s with their daughter.

“When we received the call that we could pick up our daughter, it was the happiest day of our lives. When we found out that our daughter’s birth mother had seriously considered abortion, simply because she hadn’t been educated on adoption, we soon began to wonder how many abortions could be prevented with the right education. When I’m elected I will support initiatives to promote safe and efficient adoptions as well as introduce legislation that will encourage families to take part in foster parenting.” Shelly Dreyer.

Shelly Dreyer is honored to receive both the Missouri Right to Life and Missourians United for Life Endorsements.

Earlier, Bill White's campaign issued a news release noting that he, too, had received the blessing of both organizations.
