Wardell: Islam is a cult

In an interview in today's Springfield News-Leader, Republican Seventh District Congressional candidate Michael Wardell offers thoughts on the U. S. war in Afghanistan:

The retired Marine, disabled from a back injury he suffered in a training exercise, said he is very concerned with American foreign policy in Afghanistan.

First, said Wardell, it's an undeclared war, and Congress is shirking its constitutional responsibility by not declaring it.
Secondly, he's not sure policymakers really appreciate what the country is up against. He said he doesn't consider Islam a religion as much as it is a system of control.
He said Christianity teaches salvation comes through belief in Jesus Christ, while Islam teaches salvation comes "through the shadow of the sword," or through killing people. "It's a cult that believes blowing up markets is the right thing to do."

Taken from JIHÃD THE ISLAMIC DOCTRINE OF PERMANENT WAR

Excerpts from the Koran explaining Jihad in the Hadis: “According to the venerable Abu Musa, Allah’s Messenger has said: The portals of heaven lie under the shadow of the sword. On hearing this a lean and emaciated man stood up and said: O Abu Musa, did you hear this hadîs with your own ears? ‘Yes’, said Abu Musa, and then and there the man went up to his companions and said: I bid you salaam. So saying he broke the sheath of his sword and proceeded towards the enemies. He
killed many with that sword and ultimately attained martyrdom himself.”

Clearly the sword is the best passport to heaven.

Mike, I agree with you and thanks for having the balls to point out this ongoing threat to me, my family and my friends.

Thanks to conceal and carry, if Islam shows up to a sword fight.... well, our side winds.

Obviously the people of Islam never saw the 1st Indiana Jones movie where the guy pulls out a big shiny sword and slashes at Indiana. Indiana looks at him "are you for real?" and shoots him dead in his tracks.
