Wisdom: I stand behind Arizona

Seventh District Congressional candidate Jeff Wisdom offered the following statement concerning today's ruling by a federal judge striking down portions of Arizona's immigration enforcement law:

“None of the provisions of the Arizona law conflict with the existing federal law,” said Wisdom. “They simply reinforce federal legislation and enable local law enforcement to uphold those laws.
“It’s no surprise the Obama administration sought an injunction to prevent the strictest portions of the Arizona law from being implemented,” Wisdom continued, “but it’s important to note that Judge Bolton did not strike down the entire law. She simply prohibited local law enforcement from asking individuals for proof of legal status.”
“Anyone of us pulled over for a traffic infraction must furnish a drivers license and proof of insurance,” Wisdom said. “Why should providing a visa be considered a violation of someones rights?”
“I stand behind Arizona and I believe the appellate court will overturn Judge Bolton’s decision.”

I am curious, does Mr. Wisdom carry his visa with him to show when he is stopped?

Hmmm, think about it genius...citizens don't carry visas. But I'm sure he would be glad to show his military ID, U.S. passport, driver's license, etc. if asked. If someone is a citizen or here legally, they shouldn't mind showing whatever identification a law enforcement official requests.
