Akin endorses Allen Icet

Congressman Todd Akin endorsed the state auditor candidacy of Rep. Allen Icet, R-Wildwood, today. From the news release:

On the eve of Election Day, Republican State Auditor candidate Allen Icet has received yet another endorsement that praises Icet for his conservative views and his record. U.S. Congressman Todd Akin supports Icet in his bid to become the people’s watchdog.

“After seeing the terrible mismanagement of Washington over the last two years, the chance to elect Republican Allen Icet as Missouri’s auditor is good news,” said Akin. “For five years he served as budget chairman overseeing Missouri’s balanced budget. As auditor Allen has the background and determination to hold these same agencies accountable. I am voting for Allen Icet in the Republican primary.”

Icet is pleased to welcome this important endorsement.

“I’ve known and respected Todd for a long time,” said icet. “Winning his endorsement is another indication that conservative values and actions mean so much to Missourians who will be voting in Tuesday’s Republican primary.”

Akin is the latest conservative individual or organization to embrace Icet’s candidacy, joining former U.S. Congressman Kenny Hulshof and conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly of the Missouri Eagle Forum. Icet’s candidacy has also been endorsed by Missouri Right to Life, Missourians United for Life, the National Rifle Association, the Missouri Republican Assembly and the Missouri Chapter of Concerned Women for America.
