Nodler holds in Jasper County, but not by much

Gary Nodler held his home county, Jasper, but not much in the heavily-contested Seventh District Congressional battle.

Nodler collected 3,026 votes to 2,521 for Billy Long and 1,947 for Jack Goodman.

The 530 votes collected by the other Jasper County candidate, former Rep. Steve Hunter, Joplin, was good for fourth place and undoubtedly did Nodler no good.

Nodler still has Newton and McDonald counties left, while votes have not been recorded for any of the areas in Jack Goodman's district.
