Joplin Globe endorses Roy Blunt

In Sunday's edition, the Joplin Globe announced its endorsement of Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt in the U. S. Senate race:

Blunt said he has two goals: To get elected on Nov. 2 and to open the doors of compromise on Nov. 3. For him to keep the latter goal if elected, he’ll need to retain his representative roots and break outside his party’s reputation of being “the party of no” — and work for real bipartisan compromise.
That’s the only way work will get done in these partisan days. We believe Blunt can do it.

On the Joplin Globe website I read where a person thought that Blunt would follow the "new" contract. He has not done it for 14 years, why do they think he will now. He talks of Carnahan getting money for her brother's wind farm but says nothing about his families money in Ethanol and all the money they make as lobbyist and making Missourians burn Ethanol that son pushed through. He sires them, sleeps with them, then marries them and you do not think he will side with lobbyist in the future? Give me a break!

The only reason that the Globe possibly could endorse this no good you know what, is for business purposes. When the globe endorsed President Obama in 2008, the paper lost a significant amount of subscribers. Roy has been in Congress for 14 years now. Thats most of my life. As a 19 year old, im very worried about my future if people like Roy and Billy "Boss Hogg" Long end up taking office. We need to remember that we're moving forwards not backwards here.
