Hartzler supports Ryan's budget plan

Some might look at it differently, but Vicky Hartzler says her vote for Rep. Paul Ryan's budget plan is a vote to create jobs and keep America from going broke. From the news release:

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has taken a responsible step to put America on a course that slashes government spending to create jobs and avoid national bankruptcy. She has voted in support of House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan’s 2012 budget resolution to cut $6.2 trillion in government spending over the next decade compared to the President’s budget.

“It is interesting that on April 15th, as Americans prepare to file their income tax returns, we see a stark contrast between the House Republican budget and President Obama’s spending proposal,” said Hartzler. “The budget we passed keeps taxes low to give the economy a much-needed boost which, according to an independent study by the Heritage Foundation, will create nearly one-million new private-sector jobs next year, reducing unemployment to four percent by 2015. The tax-and-spend liberal proposal outlined by the President would raise taxes to compensate for his failed $814 billion stimulus package.”

“Low taxes help an economy grow,” added Hartzler. “The Ryan budget eliminates roughly $800 billion in tax increases imposed by ObamaCare and it puts the brakes on the $1.5 trillion tax increase called for in the President’s budget. The contrast could not be more obvious.”

“Our House budget also preserves America’s health care safety net by saving Medicare and reforming the social health network for the poor,” said Hartzler. “This budget is a blueprint for economic growth and a stable future.”

Having passed the House, the budget now moves to the Senate.
