Blunt speaks against cutting subsidy for oil companies: We need the jobs

Sen. Roy Blunt, whose contribution list is loaded with big oil money, spoke on the Senate floor today against a bill which would have eliminated subsidies for oil companies. One of Blunt's reasons amounted to an argument that the Senate was wasting its time talking about a few billion dollars instead of real money.

Blunt also argues that gas prices will go up if the bill passed.

The bill failed.
