The trial of Chris Collings, who is accused of raping and murdering nine-year-old Rowan Ford of Stella, will begin Feb. 27, 2012, with a jury being imported into Rolla from Platte County.
A mistrial was declared last month due to too many jurors knowing about the crime. Apparently, this delay will also cause a delay in the trial of the other man accused of the crime, Rowan Ford's stepfather, David Wesley Spears. At the moment, Spears is scheduled to go to to trial later this month.
