During a press conference being held at this moment, Joplin Police Chief Lane Roberts said a 9 p.m. curfew has been set for the area hit by the tornado.
Among other statements made during the press conference:
-Arrests have been made for looting, but it does not appear to be widespread.
-Roberts said he would make no estimate on what the death toll be.
-As for releasing names of the dead, Roberts said, "We're not at that point, it's going to take a while.
-One officer who was struck by lightning last night was treated and released; the other is in critical condiion.
