NEWTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
SOUTHERN CHEROKEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...

* UNTIL 330 PM CDT.

* AT 223 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR TREECE...OR 6 MILES WEST OF BAXTER
SPRINGS...MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE AIRPORT DRIVE...ALBA...BAXTER SPRINGS...
CARL JUNCTION...CARTERVILLE...CARTHAGE...DIAMOND...DUENWEG...
DUQUESNE...GALENA...GRANBY...IRON GATES...JOPLIN...LEAWOOD...
NEOSHO...ORONOGO...PURCELL...SAGINAW...SARCOXIE...SENECA...SHOAL
CREEK DRIVE...SILVER CREEK...TREECE AND WEBB CITY.

INTERSTATE 44 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 0 AND 32 WILL ALSO BE IMPACTED BY
THIS STORM.
