Sen. Ron Richard, R-Joplin, received $96,550 in contributions during the last quarter and has $291,003.42 in the bank, according to a report filed with the Missouri Ethics Association.
Richard's largest single contributor, at $25,000 was David Humphreys of TAMKO, with Humphreys' mother, Ethelmae, also giving $2,500.
Leggett & Platt gave $10,128, with $3,128 of that an in-kind contribution. Adding in all other contributions from Leggett & Platt employees and the company gave $16,328.
Richard's total also included $7,250 from clients of the powerful Gamble & Schlemeier lobbying firm, with nearly all of those contributions coming on either April 1, the first day of the reporting period,or June 30, the last day.
Among the firm's clients who gave to Richard were Ameristar Casino at $1,000, Missouri Dental PAC at $1,000, Missouri Beverage PAC $750, Missouri Health Care Association $500, and Life Sciences firms associated with Stowers $1,000.
Richard's total also included $1,700 from registered lobbyists.
The freshman senator reported spending $10,871.29 during the quarter.

Well, we know what ol' Rondo has been doing, apparently every day, since taking the oath of office to be the Senator of the 32nd District. He is sucking up money which in and of itself is a full-time job.
