Chart tries something new, weekly TV newscast

If you are looking for substance, try another video, but the Chart, Missouri Southern State University's newspaper, is trying something new- a weekly newscast. It appears that Bruce Speck has the kind of journalism program he has been wanting since he arrived at MSSU.

This doesn't apply to the Chart, but I noticed today that the Globe didn't run its usual "Progress Edition" that it normally does the last Sunday in February. Instead, the Globe reprinted about 20 of its front pages from 2011.

This broadcast is informative, upbeat and positive. Its easy to see why you don't like it Randy.

Anonymous 7:04 AM: It's mildly informative with high school production values. The female anchor has potential. But it's mostly positive fluff. As for real news, it's vacuous.

I am so sorry that Richard Massa has to see how the Chart is slowly being killed by a university president and a board of governors that have no clue about what a university newspaper should be.
