Globe, KC Star, Neosho Daily earn APME prizes for Joplin Tornado coverage

The recently announced winners of the annual Associated Press Managing Editors Contest included powerful coverage of the May 22 Joplin Tornado from the Joplin Globe, Kansas City Star, and Neosho Daily News.

The winners included two Globe special sections, one telling 22 stories from the tornado and another about the Class of 2011, and the Kansas City Star's hard-hitting investigation into how poorly designed Home Depot was for dealing with the tornado.
