Akin: There are still too many people out of work

Unemployment figures continue to improve, but not quite as much as Congressman Todd Akin, a candidate for U. S. Senate would like. He released the following statement Friday:

“Three years ago, the Obama administration said that unemployment would never reach 8 percent if the “stimulus” was approved. Today, unemployment continues to hover above 8 percent for over 36 consecutive months, the longest span since the Great Depression.”“The Department of Labor’s jobs report continues to demonstrate the failed policies of this Administration. House Republicans have a Plan for America’s Job Creators and it’s time for the President and Democrats in the Senate to stop blocking our jobs bills.”
