Long receives high marks from American Conservative Union

(From Seventh District Congressman Billy Long)

In recognition of his commitment to protecting liberty and our Constitution, U.S. Rep. Billy Long received high marks from the American Conservative Union (ACU) for his efforts in 2011.
Long’s ACU rating of 92 ranked him as the most conservative member of the Missouri delegation in 2011.
“Families in Missouri’s Seventh District expect me to protect their freedoms and our Constitution,” Long said. “As their advocate in Washington, I will continue to fight for common sense ideas and legislation to support a limited federal government and defend the values we hold close to our hearts.”
The ACU award is given to members of the House and Senate who scored 80 percent or higher on a wide variety of issues of interest to grassroots conservatives voted on during the first session of the 112th Congress. Founded in 1964, the ACU is the oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization in the country.
