Rick Perry to campaign with Ed Martin in Cape Girardeau

(From the Ed Martin for Attorney General campaign)

Governor Rick Perry of Texas will be in Cape Girardeau on Friday, June 29 to hold a rally with Republican candidate for Attorney General Ed Martin.

“Governor Perry is a great patriot and a conservative fighter,” Martin said. “Governor Perry believes in the American values of freedom and liberty that made the USA the greatest nation in history. He knows what it will take to stand up and defeat big-government outrages such as ObamaCare. I am excited to announce that this great American will be in Missouri to support my candidacy for Attorney General.”

Congresswoman JoAnn Emerson said: “Rick Perry is a true conservative, an energetic spokesman for our party, and a straight shooter about the right direction for our country.  He shares our vision for a government that is of, by and for the people -- not above them -- and I am very excited he will be coming to Southeast Missouri in support of Ed Martin.  He and Ed make a great team, and they both represent the ideals of our Republican party extremely well.”

"I am thrilled that Governor Perry is coming to Southeast Missouri," Eddy Justice, 8th District Congressional Chair said.  "To have such a high profile conservative supporting Ed Martin for Missouri Attorney General shows how important this election cycle is, not only in Missouri, but across the country."

Renowned conservative commentator and author David Limbaugh said: "It is great to have these two conservative leaders come together in Southeast Missouri for what will be an outstanding event. We must replace Obama's Lawyer Chris Koster with an Attorney General who will stand up and fight back on behalf of the people of Missouri. Ed Martin already has growing support and momentum in Southeast Missouri and Governor Perry's support will provide a big boost to his campaign."

The rally will be held at A.C. Brase Arena (410 Kiwanis Drive) in Cape Girardeau.on June 29 at 5:30pm.   The event is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required to enter.  Tickets can be obtained by calling the Ed Martin campaign headquarters at (314) 256-1776.
