Brunner: What the hell was Sarah Palin thinking?

As you might expect, John Brunner did not think much of Sarah Palin's endorsement of Sarah Steelman today, though he didn't express it quite the way it is in the headline for this post. With Michele Bachmann endorsing Todd Akin and Sarah Palin backing Sarah Steelman, will Brunner dial Ann Coulter's number or Phyllis Schlafly? How about Cynthia Davis. Jane Cunningham's not busy. The news release is printed below.

Brunner for Senate Communications Director Todd Abrajano released the following statement in response to Governor Sarah Palin's endorsement of Sarah Steelman in Missouri's Republican primary for U.S. Senate:
"We are surprised that a conservative like Sarah Palin would endorse a pro-labor, pro-trial lawyer, pro-tax, anti-business candidate like Sarah Steelman who clearly is an unreliable conservative. Governor Palin must surely be unaware of Steelman's anti-conservative record.
"We are confident that when voters learn the true records of these three candidates, they will conclude that John Brunner is the only reliable conservative who can defeat Claire McCaskill and go to Washington, DC to get America working again."
