Karl Rove group spends $874,000 on McCaskill attack ad

(From Crossroads GPS)

Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies (GPS) today announced the launch of a new TV issue ad in Missouri which calls on Claire McCaskill to stop supporting tax increases on job creators and families.  Backed by a total $874,000 total buy, the ad is part of the continued effort by Crossroads GPS to advocate for the New Majority Agenda to fix the broken economy.

The new ad starts today and will run through August 14 on broadcast and cable networks in Missouri.

“Claire McCaskill has a long history of voting for tax hikes on Missouri small businesses and families which is not a solution to help our struggling economy,” said Nate Hodson, Crossroads GPS Director of State and Regional Media Relations.  “We’re keeping the pressure on Claire McCaskill to stop raising taxes and to push for the practical solutions found in the New Majority Agenda.”

The ad encourages viewers to support the “New Majority Agenda,” which includes planks on cutting taxes.  For more information about the six major policy initiatives detailed in the plan, visit www.newmajorityagenda.org.

Since her election to the U.S. Senate in 2007, Claire McCaskill has repeatedly voted to increase taxes on job creators and families even as more than 53,000 Missouri manufacturing jobs were lost.  McCaskill also voted in favor of ObamaCare which the Supreme Court ruled is a massive new tax.
