Shane Schoeller bought and paid for by Rex Sinquefield

I was wondering how long it would take for the Jason Kander for secretary of state campaign to jump on Rex Sinquefield's $400,000 in contributions, including a quarter of a million over the weekend to candidate Shane Schoeller, R-Willard. The answer- not very long. The news release is printed below.

Over the long weekend, Shane Schoeller decided to sell the Secretary of State’s office.

Shane’s price? $250,000 (after a $150,000 down payment during the primary)

That’s right - Rex Sinquefield bought Shane Schoeller and his bid for Secretary of State for close to half a million dollars!

As the Kansas City Star reported, "Sinquefield's interest in the secretary of state's race should come as no surprise...Sinquefield has spent millions supporting various ballot initiatives."

Rex Sinquefield needs a Secretary of State who will write ballot language as he desires. By taking these massive amounts of money from one source, Schoeller has signaled to everyone that what Rex Sinquefield wants is more important to him than the interests of everyday Missourians.
