Missouri Farmers and Ranchers Coalition for Romney announced

(From Missouri Republican Party)

U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) launched the Missouri Farmers and Ranchers for Mitt Romney coalition today, citing the burdensome impact of the Obama administration’s agriculture policies for Missouri’s farm families. The coalition is co-chaired by Blake Hurst of Tarkio, Mo. and Dale Ludwig of Linn, Mo.
“Missouri has more than 100,000 individual farms -- the second highest number of any state in the nation. Agriculture is a key economic driver in our state and nationwide, but unfortunately, the Obama administration’s reckless policies have created more uncertainty for farm families in Missouri and across America,” said Blunt. “Mitt Romney has a plan to help farmers and ranchers by eliminating burdensome regulations, repealing the death tax, and increasing America’s global competitiveness to strengthen our agriculture exports.”
“I’m honored to support Mitt Romney,” Hurst said. “Agriculture faces unique challenges and we need a leader in the White House with a vision for rural America.  Mitt Romney understands the importance of reforming burdensome regulations and putting in place sound tax policies that allow farm and ranch families to plan for the future.”
“The stakes in this election are high, and I’m pleased to support Mitt Romney,” Ludwig said. “As president, Governor Romney will promote the entrepreneurial spirit in agriculture and across all industries that will get our economy going again.”
