McCaskill to criss-cross Missouri Monday; Akin to stay in St. Louis area

Agendas for the final day of campaigning have been released by the two candidates for U. S. Senate in Missouri.

The incumbent, Claire McCaskill, will be all over the state, including a stop in Springfield, while Todd Akin will stay in the St. Louis area. The news releases from both campaigns are printed below:

On Monday, Claire McCaskill will travel the state to several “Get Out The Vote” canvass kickoffs to thank her army of dedicated volunteers as they continue building momentum throughout the state working toward a victory on Election Day. Claire’s last statewide swing before Election Day will be the culmination of an incredible grassroots effort that has made more than 5.7 million calls and knocked on 1.2 million doors, allowing the campaign to run through the finish line with considerable momentum at its back.

On Monday, Claire will stop by local branches of the Missouri Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign in Columbia, Springfield, Kansas City and Clay County, which serve as the backbone of Missouri’s grassroots campaign crucial to ensuring a victory for Missouri’s working families that need Claire back in Washington fighting for them. The Coordinated Campaign continues to build momentum and will be launching thousands of canvassers each day from hundreds of staging locations throughout the state as part of a record-setting effort to bring home a victory on November 6.

After visiting several offices across the state, Claire will end the day in the St. Louis area by rallying supporters at Machinists Hall Auditorium in Bridgeton.

At the events, Claire will remind voters that this election is about the clear choice between her record as a Senator on the side of Missouri’s working families, and Todd Akin, an extreme candidate who wants to privatize Medicare and Social Security, end federal student loans and abolish the minimum wage.
