Mental examination ordered in Breaking Dawn murder plot case

Polk County Circuit Court Judge John C. Porter ordered a mental examination Tuesday for Blaec Lammers, 20, who is accused of plotting to go on a murder spree at a showing of the movie "Breaking Dawn" in Bolivar.

An update on the case is scheduled for 11 a.m. Jan. 23.

Lammers, who faces charges of making a terroristic threat, armed criminal action, and assault in the first degree, is being held in the Polk County Jail, with bond set at $500,000. He is being represented by public defender Dewayne Franklin Perry.
