Preliminary hearing for "Breaking Dawn' gunman delayed

The preliminary hearing for accused "Breaking Dawn" gunman Blaec Lammers, originally scheduled for today in Polk County Circuit Court, has been moved back to 2:30 p.m. April 1, according to online court records.

The postponement was approved shortly after permission was given for Lammers' lawyer, Dewayne Franklin Perry, to withdraw. Perry's replacement is Donald R. Cooley, Springfield, according to court records.

Lammers was arrested Nov. 15 for allegedly planning a murderous shooting rampage at a showing of "Breaking Dawn" the latest in the "Twilight' series, in an effort to copy last summer's Aurora, Colo. shooting.

Lammers' mother, Patricia, was scheduled to testify at the preliminary hearing, court records indicate.

The Bolivar man is charged with assault, making a terroristic threat, and armed criminal action.
