Besendorfer to tell Phoenix conference attendees about Joplin schools' 21st Century design

Joplin R-8 Assistant Superintendent Angie Besendorfer will spread the news about the state-of-the-art buildings the district is constructing when she is a featured speaker at the National Career Academy Coalition Conference October 24-27 in Phoenix, Arizona.

She will be talking on the subject "Designing School as Unusual."

Oh gag me. Is she going to tell them how horribly her grand designs are turning out?

A lot can happen between now and October, but if she's still welcome there by then, I hope they just keep her.

I am not quite sure how to describe my reaction to this: sickening? Yes, and beyond that, for certain. Besendorfer is promoting herself: self-aggrandizement without a scintilla of thought for the very, extremely, and sadly low, low, low morale of the district's teachers. How do I know they're morale is so low? Take a guess.

*their morale (reference previous comment)

Did they even look at our academic success (or lack thereof) rate when they booked her? They are as foolish as the people who keep her employed in Joplin. No wonder she needs four people in her office. She's gone too much to do her job. Perhaps we should be grateful for these trips after all!!

I am truly frightened.

Me too. These people are corrupt and that means dangerous.

A state of the art building in which little learning is happening is really a pointless endeavor and a horrific waste of tax dollars.

How much does SHE who must not be crossed get paid for her speaking engagements?
