Only eight hours are left for our Indiegogo crowd sourcing fund drive to raise money for the new brand of journalism that will be practiced at Inside Joplin and the increased coverage that will be offered on the Turner Report.
So far, we have received $1,635 of our $5,000 goal, with most of that coming last weekend.
Though Inside Joplin has been in a blog format since its soft launch Aug. 11, the new website will be launched in about a month.
As for the Turner Report, there will be an increased emphasis on what this site has always done, coverage of educational and political issues, mixed with commentary and investigative reporting.
For those who are not comfortable using PayPal or a credit card through the Indiegogo site, please feel free to send a check to Randy Turner, 2306 E. 8th, Joplin, MO 64801. Though the Indiegogo drive ends in eight hours, we will continue to accept any contributions that are sent to that address.
Get in on the ground floor of a project that can change the journalistic landscape in the Joplin area and the state of Missouri.
