Accused child killer serving sentence at St. Joseph prison

Bobby Don Bourne, 34, Lockwood, charged with the murder, rape, and kidnapping of Adriaunna Horton, 12, Golden City, has begun serving his 15-year sentence for violating his probation on other felony charges.

Missouri Department of Corrections records indicate Bourne is at the Western Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center in St. Joseph after a Cedar County judge ruled he had violated his probation when he was charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest last year.

Online court records indicate Bourne's next court date for the Adriaunna Horton murder is 1 p.m. Monday, September 9, before Judge Charles Curless in Barton County Circuit Court.
