That is all you post of that video? Man you are showing how sneaky you really are. It is this kind of behavior which makes you untrustworthy when claiming you were always a true professional and a good educator who could be trusted with our kids. You blog with such a shady POV that I don't believe anything you say.

I wonder why people who don't like the Turner Report so frequently read it. Why inflict something on yourself you don't like? Maybe because on the inside, you know he's right, so you have to defend yourself with weak arguments that rarely address the true issues at hand. Pitiful.

If he keeps his head in the sand & takes direction from Bess he will be in jail sooner than he thinks...she has been after him since he was hired as Joplin R8 Superintendent...she is an evil, conniving witch who thinks she is SO much more educated than anyone she works with...no one is above her, no one is immune to her gift of evil gab....she is dangerous....Huff, too late for you, but she was after you since you were hired...adored you & what you envisioned & your "good old country boy message.". Thought,oh you are in over your innocent head...so sorry to see yur downfall at the hands of an evil woman....please get your spine straightened & get her out that building ...we will support you, I promise, because I thnk you are a decent human but being controlled by subtle. Devil...

3:20--
Why would you support such a weak spined cry baby as a leader? She may be all that you said, but he's no innocent. His hands are as dirty as hers. If he couldn't see what was happening, then he's no leader. Send them both down the road along with the entire JSAB entourage.

I think he thought everything was Aok when he came on aboard, then he got caught up in her web & did not have the smarts or the expiernce or the personality to deal with this black widow spider & fhe web that she was spinning ...evil person...I feel sorry for him..maybe he will learn when he grows up!!!!

I have no mercy for him at all. He is not a child and has a mean streak that he doesn't like the public to see. They need to all be cleaned out of JSAB. Trust no one there.

So, 6:08, if I understand you correctly, you support CJ Huff even though he isn't wise enough to see Besendorfer for what she truly is? And if he truly isn't that smart, and if he truly lacks experience, just what qualities does he have to make him a fit leader? Once again, a Huff supporter has weakened his cause with his own argument. With help like, Huff needs no enemies.

Please post a link to the whole video so that I can see what he was really saying.

I read this blog because I truly believed what turner had said about his firing. I truly believed he was a great educator who had his students best interest at heart. I believed he was a true journalist and was railroaded. Then I read his book which was clearly meant to portray Huff and Angie and her daughter. I was totally disgusted. The very explicit gross sex scenes in the book made this VERY liberal mother sick at her stomach. Then he had that recording device on his person while at school. He has NEVER answered why he was doing that. Then comes the onslaught of horrible blogs he has put out - the worst being the blog about someone who filed bankruptcy a decade ago and whether that made her unqualified for her job. He has no idea what the reason for the bk was. Maybe it was medical reasons. That woman did nothing to turner and he could care less about who he hurts. I keep reading it because I am the only one left who doesn't blindly believe whatever bs he blogs about and because I will call him out every time he says incorrect or partial info that will affect MY children. If we don't like what's going on WE can vote out the school board. Plain and simple. Turner is a snake for the personal attacks he has made instead of using valid issues in his blogs.

Turner - you know both Huff and Angie have children in the district. You could care less about the kids when you blog and allow the kind of horrible personal mean spirited comments that call a child's mother evil etc... You are no better than those who called u a predator who was grooming his students. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Thank you for acknowledging that those who called Mr. Turner a predator were wrong to do so. His friends and his family found that very hurtful when it happened. In regards to printing those comments that label JSAB residents evil, are you suggesting that Mr. Turner censor his blog? Pick and choose the comments that he doesn't think are fit for family reading? Come on. If that's what you thought, you'd be all over him for publishing the stories about the pedophiles employed by the district. Those were far more graphic. This is just another Huffite pretending to be morally outraged. So pathetic. Try supporting Huff and Besendorfer with some positive facts about the progress they've made. Good luck with that.

This is so ignorant it's hard to know where to begin addressing it. That you were able to draw parallels from the book to CJ and Angie hardly makes defending them a reasonable act. What was it that made you think it was Angie and CJ? Curious. And then the rant about the bankrupt leader of Bright Futures. Had you read closely, you would note that it was not a bankruptcy for medical bills but for credit cards. That she is not a good financial planner seems rather crucial for someone in charge of millions of dollars donated for specific purposes.
You obviously did not read the book well, either. There were no explicit sex scenes. Just implied ones. You apparently read as well as you write.
This is another Huff supporter trying to sound genuinely upset. Instead, you have shot (figuratively--I know you must be told this) CJ and your cause in the (figuratively) foot. Please, do some research and come up with a valid argument of some kind. You won't be able to, but at least you'll be too busy to compose any more of this drivel.

As someone who attended Mr. Turner's hearing in May, I am offended that Anonymous 4:27 feels the need to play the "they have kids in the district' card. That is probably why they should have avoided doing so many of the terrible things they have done, including the firing of Mr. Turner. And let's not forget, C. J. Huff wsa the one who felt it necessary during Mr. Turner's hearing to bring his daughter into it by saying he would not want her to have Mr. Turner as a teacher. Why the Joplin Board of Education has allowed this man to continue to embarrass this community with his crocodile tears is beyond me.

7:09 pm ask randy turner to post on this blog the excerpts that were read during his hearing. And then I DARE you to tell me they wouldn't qualify as sexually explicit - remember the issue is this book was clearly available to his 12-14 year old students - I think he is telling the truth that it was accidental - and again tell me it wasn't explicit. Please Mr. Turner share those excerpts on this blog.

Every single person who has commented on this blog has things in their past that are not pretty. To pull out a decade old financial issue on someone who has done nothing to mr. Turner is wrong. And I know someone who declared bankruptcy because she had cancer and she also had insurance. But she couldn't work. Her family had to travel back and forth and pay for hotel rooms so that the mom could get her treatments. She was out of work for almost a year. No the bankruptcy wasn't for hospital bills but it was due to health problems.

I think anyone referring to turner as a predator on children was wrong. The same as this blog and commenters referring to Angie as evil, a monster etc... What kind of people are writing that kind of garbage. I hope most of u r turner's previous students - not adults who are behaving like mean kids.

A reading from No Child Left Alive; parental warning not required
Teachers and former teachers will probably appreciate this reading from my novel, No Child Left Alive. Unfortunately, teachers in the Joplin School District will probably recognize themselves having to go through the mindless "team building" activities in which adults are treated like children.

Parents, don't worry! This is not one of the chapters that C. J. Huff thought was obscene.

Come on randy post the excerpts he thought were obscene. You don't think they are so POST them

I not only published No Child Left Alive, I also published the transcript of my hearing so that people would not pull the cheap stunt that administration pulled of reading those excerprts...despite the fact that they were never able to produce one student who had read the book. Not one. They were also fully aware that the blog that their administrator found during her "research" was not a class blog. Keep on trying to divert the topic from the horrors that have been perpetrated by the R-8 administration. I am not the one who is being investigated by DESE.

Here is one excerpt that I found to be really alarming

"At the worst, she thought, she could wind up in prison. For an educator to have sex with a student was a felony. But then she remembered how it had been the last time she had been in the teenager's arms, the last time she had been beneath him, on top of him, to the side of him."

Any teacher who writes or fantasizes about teachers hooking up with their students needs to be immediately terminated.

I guess that means you won't show these people what YOU wrote. That speaks VOLUMES!

Looking at the "lady's" background in question--there was so much more out there in the public records that could've been used, but wasn't, that you should probably stop making this case before it becomes necessary to prove the point with the rest of the story.

With all that is happening with the district, it seems odd that you've chosen to worry about this. I'm far more worried about the cover up of the exposure of thousands of kids to a pedophile or the DESE investigation into the district than I am the issues being dragged through the discussion tonight. They seem far more substantial. But, that has probably escaped your notice.

I find the fact that so many students are creating their own porn at tax payers' expense far more disturbing. Or that there were thousands of students potentially exposed to a pedophile and that the truth about that was covered up disturbs me. A book that no child has read doesn't really seem so bad in comparison to those real, current, and compelling situations.

Anonymous said...

No child has been found who has read Turner's book. Ten high school students were found in pornographic pictures and videos in the computer of the district's computer safety administrator. He admits recording one of them. Now, which of those two situations deserves moral outrage?

9:29- I very rarely make a comment of this kind on my blog, but you are a complete idiot. I have written two murder mysteries, but I have never given a thought to killing someone. You, on the other hand, have the kind of mind that seriously worries me. I hate to think that someone like you has a vote that means as much as someone who actually thinks.

Randy I get so upset about some of the things on your blog I forget where I am coming from. I don't think you are a child predator who was grooming the girls at East. I feel very sorry for you that someone labeled you publicly as such because there is no evidence to back it up.

Here is what I wish so badly I could hear from you. First of all unless we work for ourselves we ALL have a boss and a company (or government or hospital etc...) that employs us. We all have to follow the rules and regulations set forth by those who are responsible for their employees. Anyone who publicly called out their employer or writes a book (or article or goes on Oprah etc...) and tells a story where the names may not be exactly the same but it is crystal clear that you are mocking/insulting/suggesting that your bosses AND their children are evil, paranoid, slutty, tyrannical etc knows what would happen. We would get fired!!! That is how it works. If you don't like the work environment you can put up with it, quit or file a lawsuit if there is a legitimate complaint of an unfair and illegal working environment.
The second issue is you know what was in that book. You must understand why a parent who didn't know you and read a book that you wrote that included teacher/student sex would be a real issue for the parents. In this day and age we have to be overly cautious to try to keep our kids as safe as we possibly can. You know that makes sense. Especially when added to the fact that you are a male teacher who clearly has a better connection with his female students. (That is not wrong in itself.) But any teacher must be aware of the need to maintain boundaries and do everything in their power to never cross any line.

Again I don't think you are a pervert but this entire situation is really disturbing. The way the adults have lost any sense of respectability by bullying and name calling and spreading rumors and doing anything possible to destroy each other is so sad. It is how we don't want our children to behave. You are as much a part of it as they are. I have never heard you take any culpability or acknowledge that you can understand why a parent who read that book would question whether you had weird issues -the parents who never got to know you.
