Bud Sexson: I have the full support of the board; I have not resigned

East Middle School Principal Bud Sexson, noting Superintendent C. J. Huff's letter to East personnel this morning, just told the Turner Report he is not being fired and "I have no intention of resigning.

"I have the full support of the Board of Education," Sexson said.

I am all for changing out the Dr B clan but seems like your source was in the dark on this one. It may still pan out you are right and if so good job. I have heard so many parents with children at that school who had issues with him. I just hope all the children are cared for equally and treated with respect no matter what school they attend in the R8.

I had multiple sources. The story was accurate.

Why did you publish this? It is state law for any discussion about personnel to be public unless the employee makes it public. Think about it... you made it more difficult for the guy. Why not report the story until it happened?

As the now reported story from Dr HuffN Puff that this is lie. Again big hope you are correct. You had mentioned another principal in trouble or in jeopardy of losing their job. Anything on that one or who it is?

I am so glad Mr. S! You have provided my child a wonderful school to attend for the last 2 1/2 years. I could not be happier.

Here is the thing - if your child gets into trouble you will always have issues with the principals/teachers at whatever school they attend. If your child behaves you would see the same guy that I do - a wonderful principal! Very nice but not so friendly it feels uncomfortable or inappropriate. He isn't there to be their friends nor is he there to be a scapegoat for parents who have no control over their kids. And before someone says their kid was bullied and no one cared I say there is more to the story. If my kid was being bullied and unsafe at a school in Joplin and the school ignored it I would shout it out from the rooftops. I would send my kid with a recorder (borrow turner's if need be) and get some proof. Talk to every single teacher at that school. Sue the damn school if you have to.

Do randy do you think you saved his job by reporting that accurate story? Cause there is no way huff would come out denying this if it was going to happen anyway.

Btw your sources are obviously comfortable with being deceitful and sneaky. What makes you think you can trust them? Obviously someone on the board must trust them as well. Perhaps your sources are being fed misinformation as a ploy to determine who the rat is...

this was a false-flag op - someone will get burned on this one.

My information was and is correct. No one was feeding misinformation to me. My sources are not deceitful and sneaky. As to an earlier comment, yes, my post is being used in an effort to keep Bud Sexson in his job

Can he take Mr. Weevil I mean Mr. Weaver with him when goes?.....

I agree with 11:36 in that it sounds as if this information was fed in an attempt to flush out a leak at the admin building.

If it was a plant then the board members are in on it. I heard the same thing as Turner and it came straight from a board member. I was not the only one there either.

11:30--even if your kids don't get in trouble, he's not the brightest bulb in the string.

It is sad but expected that Joplin's Administration will not investigate the truth behind so many staff, parent and student complaints. There will always be disgruntled parents, but to have a significant portion of the staff and students want to see a new principal at East?

If it was true why in the world would huff and sexton be refuting it? That has never been the way terminations work around here. We have seen it time and time again. Word gets out before the board announces something and it doesn't reverse the original decision.

Never trust an anonymous complaint.
