First degree murder, kidnapping charges filed against Craig Michael Wood

The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney has filed charges of first degree murder, kidnapping, and armed criminal action against Craig Michael Wood, 45, Springfield, in connection with the death of 10-year-old Hailey Owens of Springfield.

Wood has been suspended from his job as a paraprofessional at Pleasant View Elementary in Springfield, and a middle school coach.
