Texas town gives roar of approval with approval of Rohr as city manager

Media reports indicate that fired Joplin City Manager Mark Rohr has emerged as the choice of the League City, Texas, City Council for its vacant city manager post. The vote was unanimous.

Rohr was announced as one of the four finalists last week, made the first cut to two candidates, then was selected for the position.

The Joplin City Council voted earlier this month, by a 5-4 margin, to fire Rohr, who had been city manager for the past decade.

It truly is the end times. What else could it be. Guy get fired from one job and before we even know why, he get hired for the same job somewhere else. Did they even ask for references. Who did they talk to in Joplin city government.

Good for them. Mark Rohr is a good guy. Bill Scearce needs to take off his bad toupee. Melody Colbert Kean did a terrible job assisting running the mall. She was not for small local business making it. In fact she was once quoted as saying "she would rather have a dark closed space in the mall then help a local business get on their feet". That is the true MCK. Mark Rohr would not put up with nonsense and fired people who did not do their job. He was immediately on the scene helping people after the tornado. We lost a good person. Sad for Joplin, good for Texas town.
