Scearce: Joplin Globe, Carol Stark refuse to publish anti-Rohr letters

In an interview with blogger (and frequent Joplin Globe guest columnist) Anson Burlingame, Joplin City Councilman Bill Scearce accused Globe Editor Carol Stark of refusing to publish any letters that are supportive of the five council members, including Scearce, who fired City Manager Mark Rohr:

I asked why he feels that the expressed public outrage currently being seen in the Globe was a minority view. Bill said, “The Globe has taken a position against me”. He also said that Carol Stark is refusing to publish letters (“I can name names”, he said) that support his positions and that of four other council members.

Try sending your letters certified mail. Then you have proof that she received them.

If you want to fix the problem boycott the Globe and put them out of business. No ads,no subscribers,no money. Show them you mean business and they'll be forced to print the truth.

Rohrs pie in the sky plan to spend millions on downtown re-development included a taxpayer buyout of many properties including the globe. And that explains the globe -rohr hookup
