Debbie Fort campaign puts money into yard signs, postcards

The Debbie Fort campaign for Joplin R-8 School Board has made good use of social media, but has invested most of its money in yard signs and post cards according to the eight-days-before-election report filed with the Jasper County Clerk's office.

The Fort campaign has received $800 in contributions with $500 of that coming from former Joplin R-8 Board of Education President Jim Coburn and his wife Loretta.

Mrs. Fort's husband Jim loaned the campaign $1,500, according to the report.

During the filing period, Mrs. Fort received $2,870 and spent $2,324.59, leaving her with $545.57 in her account.

Mrs. Fort spent $546.97 with The Lettershop, Joplin, for postcards and $1,577.64 with DataGraphics, Joplin, for campaign signs.
