Flowers, Willcoxon exit sealed with Huff hugs

Jeff Flowers, defeated last week in his effort to be elected to a third term on the Joplin R-8 Board of Education, just concluded his last meeting.

Board member Mike Landis presented Flowers, who had served as board president for the past year, with a plaque for his service.

After the meeting, Flowers and Phil Willcoxon, who elected not to seek a third term, received hearty hugs from Superintendent C. J. Huff. ***

A rallying cry for teachers across the United States and a slap in the face to those who are trying to destroy public schools and public school teachers. Let Teachers Teach is available now at Amazon.com.

This collection of essays not only spells out what is wrong in American education, but also makes it clear what is right.

Let Teachers Teach, is a collection of Randy  Turner's essays on today's education, his own teaching, and colleagues and students who have touched his life.
