Krista Stark named Southwest Missouri Democrats executive director

(From Southwest Missouri Democrats)

Friends of the Southwest Missouri Democrats:

We are proud to announce that we have a new Executive Director. She is Krista Stark from Webb City; I’m sure many of you know her.

The organization conducted a national search that brought us a number of qualified candidates. The Search Committee did Skype interviews with several candidates and in person interviews with those in the area. Finally Krista was chosen.

Ms. Stark has a wide variety of experience in volunteer work and paid work in our area. She was the Director and Development Specialist for the Carver Birthplace Association. She was Event Coordinator for Clean Air Project, a granted program at MSSU that aimed to prevent smoking in Joplin’s public places. She serves on the Emancipation Park Day Board and has long been a volunteer for the Girl Scouts and Webb City PTO. Krista has served in important volunteer roles for national and statewide Democratic campaigns.

But all along her main volunteer work has been for the local Democrats, especially the Southwest Missouri Democrats. When Jordan left last June, she volunteered to maintain our social media operation as well as other communication responsibilities. She has been very conscientious and capable in these roles. So Krista moves into her job already knowing what she has to do and already knowing many people in our group.

We are very excited as we move into this second phase of our development and progress toward new heights and greater numbers.

Please write or call Krista if you have suggestions or just want to wish her well. You can reach her at swmodems@gmail.com or at 417-437-8443.

Democratically Yours,
Doug Brooks
Chair
32nd Senatorial District
