Motions hearing for accused killer of MSSU coach postponed

A hearing on a motion for a change of venue for Jeffrey Bruner, Joplin, the man accused of murdering Missouri Southern State University offensive line coach Derek Moore, originally scheduled for today, has been moved to 9 a.m. May 5 in Jasper County Circuit Court.

Bruner's lawyer, Ross Rhoades, Neosho, asked for the change of venue, saying there was too much pretrial publicity.

Bruner faces felony murder and armed criminal action in connection with Mr. Moore's shooting death, which took place November 1 in the parking lot outside the Regal Northstar 14 Theatres.
Moore was killed in the parking lot outside Northstar 14 Theatres.
