Joplin R-8 qualifications for new girls basketball coach- Must be a winner

AFter all of the lengthy, almost never-ending lists of qualifications for job openings in the Joplin R-1 School District, it is a pleasure to read one that is short and to the point. This one was posted for the vacant Joplin High School girls basketball coaching position:

Joplin High School Girls Basketball Head Coach

Joplin Schools is looking for a highly qualified and successful head basketball coach to develop a winning basketball program. The ideal candidate will have experience as a head basketball coach with multi-year winning records. Interested individuals need to have, or be eligible to obtain, a Missouri teaching certificate.

Wouldn't it be great if the school district would decide to advertise for teachers in the same fashion and ask for ones who have experience as teachers with a multi-year record of classroom success?

And wouldn't it be even better if they treated the teachers in such a way that they wouldn't be heading for the exits?

Wouldn't it be even better if they required the same lofty standards of those who are hired for upper administrative positions?

Joplin R-1? Really. How funny that you would make a mistake while being such a jerk about EVERY job ad the district runs. Can you say bitter?

Is there a board members kid on the team? No team has done worse than girls basketball. Just wondering.
