Ron Richard nears half a million in campaign account

He doesn't face any opposition for re-election, but that hasn't slowed down the money machine for Sen. Ron Richard, R-Joplin.

According to his quarterly financial disclosure report, filed Monday with the Missouri Ethics Commission, Richard collected $136,964.50 during the last three months and spent $39,758.27, leaving him with $492,466.30 in the bank.

Richard's top donors, each giving $10,000, were Roy Pfautch of St. Louis and Rudy Farber of Neosho. Farber gave his in two $5,000 chunks.
